When I was 16 years old I started an attempt to make my own Tesla coil to count for a high school project. I didn't finish it yet, but then again I didn't get executed either. A Tesla coil is a high voltage transformer which sparks come off from. In the images you can see the secondary coil, capacitor bank, spark gap and some conducting metal shapes.
